About Quadco LLC

Quadco History and Evolution

Quadco Inc. was founded in April 1966 in Farmington, New Mexico, as an oilfield service company. The Quadco name is rooted in the San Juan Basin and Four Corners region of the Southwestern United States.

As oil and gas activity expanded rapidly across the Rockies during the late 1960s and into the 1970s, Quadco became the master distributor for Martin Decker instruments offering sales, service, and rentals of weight indicators, drilling recorders, pump pressure gauges, and pit level equipment. During this period, Quadco sold more Martin Decker instrumentation in the Rocky Mountain region than any other distributor worldwide.

In 1980, Quadco acquired Hercules Deadline Anchor Company from Elmer Decker of Decker Engineering. The first Hercules deadline anchor was manufactured in Casper, Wyoming, in March 1981 where Hercules anchors are still produced today. The company’s SG Sure Grip anchors, designed for use with plastic-filled Valley Wire Rope, were patented in the late 1980s. In 2005, Hercules introduced its rotating drum anchor, now offered in multiple models.

In 1988, Quadco expanded into industrial tools and supply with the acquisition of Southwest Power Tools (SWPT). Based in Farmington, SWPT provides industrial tools, services, and supplies to Northwest New Mexico and neighboring regions of Arizona, Utah, and Colorado. SWPT is known for delivering exceptional customer service and value.

Over the past five decades, Quadco and its dedicated workforce have grown to support a wide range of industrial equipment sales and services across the oil and gas, mining, power, chemical, and heavy industrial sectors. These operations span the Rocky Mountain region and Alaska.

In May 2016, Quadco was acquired by SolstenXP Venture Funding, LLC. Today, its three legacy divisions operate as Quadco LLC, Hercules Deadline Anchor Company LLC, and Southwest Power Tools LLC.
